From Wall Street Wolf to Doves of Peace – Mustafa Khetty Prepares for Classical Requiem
Having spent his career split variously across both the savagery of Wall Street and the high stakes of the technology sector, polymath Mustafa Khetty is finally focusing on the emotional rock that has stayed with him throughout his life – music. Born in Sri Lanka but having lived in Ireland, US, Middle and Far East and the UK, Mustafa grew up listening to classic rock like Led Zeppelin and prog giants like Yes, music he has often returned to to escape the stresses of his business life but also to inspire his own musical aspirations.
Ironically, it is another field of music entirely in which he looking
looking to make his first steps, with a classical eulogy to the victims
of 2019’s appalling terrorist attack on the people of Christchurch, New
Zealand. With a real deftness of touch, it certainly pulls on the
heart-strings and is a fitting tribute to those who have fallen as the
result of random acts of violent and terror. This is no one-off project
though, with an equally expansive, multi-layered project…or perhaps more
precisely ‘prog-ject’ due for release in 2020.
